Meet Our Staff
Serving Fort Collins, Northern Colorado and Nearby Areas of Cheyenne, Wyoming and Nebraska
I graduated from the University of Northern Colorado in 2010 with a Bachelors of Science degree in nutrition and have always wanted to be in the healthcare industry. I got my first office job in primary care and saw how interesting working in medical offices can be. Since then I have worked in primary care and dental offices before I joined Dr. Gonyon’s team in July 2012. Here at Gonyon Cosmetic and Plastic Surgery I handle all aspects of billing and insurance for our patients and I am available to assist patients with all areas of insurance, including surgical authorizations or account questions. As a Certified Nursing Assistant, I help Dr. Gonyon when seeing patients as well as help out on surgery days to get our patients recovered. I love working with Dr. Gonyon because he is down-to-earth and is a doctor who truly cares about his patients on all levels. Our staff here is also a great part about my job because everyone gives the highest quality of care and customer service. When not at work, I enjoy attending sporting events, movies, boating and spending time with my fiance and my puppy Roxie.
I have been working at GCPS since October 2009, yet have known and worked with Dr. Gonyon for over 6 years. I received my RN from Front Range Community College in 2001 and my nursing experience is in post-surgical and trauma care. I am certified in Advanced Cardiac Life Support, as well as certified in aesthetic injections, such as Botox and Juvéderm, and am Sciton Laser Certified. As the nurse manager, my job is to be with patients from beginning to the end, and assist any way I can. Not only do I see every patient at their initial plastic surgery consultation, but I also see each patient for their pre-operative appointment and post-operative appointments, and most importantly I will be a friendly face on the day of surgery during their surgery preparation and recovery. I love working at our exclusive facility that truly caters to our patients, and our highly qualified staff takes time to personalize each patient’s experience. It is very easy to work alongside Dr. Gonyon because he goes above and beyond to truly show care and compassion for each patient. When I’m not at work, I am an extreme fitness guru and my favorite past time is spending time with my 3 boys.
I have been a Registered Nurse for 17 years and I am certified in Advanced Cardiac Life Support and Sciton Laser Certified. I have a background in medical surgical nursing, as well as labor and delivery nursing where I have been a Pre/Post operative nurse and have circulated in the operating room. I have been with Dr. Gonyon since 2011 as a Pre/Post Nurse in the PACU, yet I have known him for many years. I love working at Gonyon Cosmetic and Plastic Surgery because of the professional yet friendly atmosphere. I feel we have a wonderful staff who are caring and go beyond the extra mile for all of our patients. Outside of nursing, I am a Colorado native who loves to ski, boat and 4-wheel with my 3 boys and husband of 21 years. Life starts at the end of the your comfort zone!
I am honored to be part of this great team working as a PACU RN. I graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Sociology from the University of Colorado Boulder in 2004 and later returned to school and earned an Associate’s Degree of Nursing from Front Range Community College in 2013. I have spent the last 5 years working as a CNA, EMT, and now RN in the Emergency Department at North Colorado Medical Center. I have been an employee at GCPS for a little over a year now. I always look forward to meeting the patients and being able to assist them through recovery. I truly enjoy working at GCPS because I get to help people feel better about themselves. It’s always a pleasure to work with Dr. Gonyon because he puts his patients first and has a keen eye for detail. In my free time, when not working on school work, I enjoy hanging out with my son and fiancé. I love to exercise, travel, shop and visit with friends.
I received my RN/BSN from the University of Nebraska Medical Center in 2001. Although my experience in nursing is primarily working with telemetry and cardiology patients, I love my job at GCPS working with the Pre/Post surgery patients. Having started in early 2014, I truly enjoy seeing the patient outcomes after their surgeries and helping them on their way to recovery! Not only are the patients great, but I love working with a team that truly cares about each other and wants each and every patient to feel and look their best, which includes Dr. Gonyon. It is a pleasure working with him because he is extremely compassionate to his patients and staff. Although I consider nursing my career, my full-time job is being a wife and mom of two young boys, who keep me very busy! I also enjoy golfing, running, hiking and volunteering.
I started working at GCPS over the summer of 2014 as a Pre/Post surgery nurse in the PACU. I graduated from Regis University in 2001 with my RN/BSN degree and since then I have worked as an operating room and surgical nurse at many places, including Children’s Hospital of Colorado, Children’s North Surgery Center and Orthopedic Center of the Rockies. I love working with patients- from getting to know them to teaching to taking care of them. Working at GCPS is the best because of the great team- everyone is friendly and they always make me smile! Then there is Dr. Gonyon, who is very down to earth and a great surgeon. He has a great bedside manner and you can see Dr. Gonyon truly cares for his patients. When I’m not working, I love spending time outdoors; I enjoy hiking, camping, traveling, riding dirt bikes, and hanging out with friends and my 2 dogs, Chelsea and Molly.
I joined GCPS in October 2009 after having graduated in 2007 with an Associates of Applied Science degree in Surgical Technology. I frequently help out in the office, but spend most of my time preparing for surgeries and assisting Dr. Gonyon during surgery. I enjoy working at GCPS because I like making patients happy and being able to help patients gain a new found confidence. I also enjoy shopping and sports, as well as spending time with my husband, new baby Kasen, golden retriever Ike, family and friends
I received my Certified Nursing Assistant certification from AIMS Community College in May of 2000, and last year I started the Surgical Technician Program at AIMS Community College. I am looking forward to finishing my degree and working in a career I love. My primary job at GCPS is to prep and assist in surgical procedures, which I started doing February 2014. I love being able to help prepare for and be a part of the life changes our patients go through. GCPS is a great place to work because everyone is like family and genuinely cares about each other and our patients. Dr. Gonyon is an amazing teacher, as well as a perfectionist. He truly cares about his patients and staff. When I’m not working and in school, I spend time with my fiancé and our dog Oakley. I also love to camp, fish and spend time with family.
I joined GCPS in June 2010 with over 17 years of management and leadership experience in the healthcare industry. Prior to joining Dr. Gonyon, I held positions in corporate healthcare, primarily managing regional business office operations for two different Fortune 100 companies. I find working in the smaller practice setting to be much more rewarding and really enjoy the interpersonal relationships that have developed within our wonderful team. When I’m away from the office, I enjoy spending time with my wife exploring all Northern Colorado has to offer from outdoor activities to the myriad of local dining establishments. My favorite hobbies are sport shooting, softball and rooting for my home state football team the Alabama Crimson Tide!
